Impeachment wanted for UT Regent Wallace Hall

Posted on Friday, November 1st, 2013 at 10:16 pm.

Austin State Rep. Ferdinand Frank “Trey” Fischer III is saying that University of Texas’s Regent Wallace Hall should be impeached for questioning fundraising money and not protecting UT’s interests. On Wednesday, October 23, in a House select committee on transparency in state operations hearing, Fisher accused Wallace of breaking the law by questioning the $215.3 million in phantom fundraising for the academic institution.

According to Fischer, 1,200 of 1,278 public records requests were made by Hall. Fischer further claimed that Hall was not forthright with his intentions for changing how UT handles public records.
