Deadspin has recently released the some of the financial documents of the Texas Rangers from 2007 and 2008.
A few things that stood out of the reports was there revenue and losses. The Rangers, Hicks Sports Group, had $525 million in loans and had losses of nearly $38 million in 2007. In both 2007 and 2008, net ticket sales were the exact same number at $39,978,429.
The land around the ballpark also has accumulated funds by charging for parking. The marketing budget in 2007 was very low at around $1.1 million and then in 2008 it jumped to over $16 million.
